Very good condition. Good margins. Printed on off-white BFK Rives paper. Karl E. Fortess, painter and printmaker, studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art Students League, was a WPA art administrator and participating artist in the 1930's. He exhibited widely, for instance the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of Art, Boston Art Museum, and the Carnegie Institute, among a few of many locations. He continued to produce art well into the 1990's.
