Comments:
Very good condition. Wide margins. Printed on fine off-white wove paper. Lower right, immediately under the image, is a remarque of two men shooting out of a window. Circa 1900, Shaw was hired by the Colonial Society of America to produce a series of images depicting American landmarks. The series, entitled, "American Memorial Etchings," were produced at random between 1904 and 1910. This piece appears to have never been either matted or framed.
