Comments:
Very good condition. Good margins. Printed on parchment like buff wove paper. Appears to have never been either matted or framed. Although this particular impression is not dated, We have seen another clearly dated 1929. Information obtained from the artist's grandson indicates that this print appears to be the product of a trip through Arizona, circa 1928. Ostrander and his wife evidently drove through Arizona on a trip from Massachusetts with intentions to resettle in California. Ostrander stayed in California for only a few years. With the onset of the Depression and possible financial difficulties he was forced to return east by steamer via the Panama Canal.
