Comments:
Very good condition. Generally good margins, though a little narrow along the top edge of the sheet (1/2 inch). Printed on parchment style cream wove paper. Alternatively titled: Home and Rock. Exhibited at the Seventh Annual Exhibition, The Brooklyn Society of Etchers, Brooklyn Museum, December to January 1922-1923, and later at the Art Institute of Chicago, Catalogue of an Exhibition of Etchings, January 30 to March 10, 1925. A beautiful impression, heavily and texturally inked, of the James House, Carmel, California, built by well-known master architects Greene and Greene. An early critique in "El Palacio" published December 1, 1922 by the Museum of New Mexico and the School of American Research. Santa Fe, New Mexico, mentions this print and provides additional perspective on this interesting artist.
