COMMENTS:
Very good condition. Good margins. A depiction of an early 20th century home of the Gila River people located south of Phoenix, Arizona (formerly known as the Pima, today known as the Akimel O'odham). The Estrella Mountains form the skyline. Seeber states Burr's notation "Near St. Johns Mission." (St. Johns Catholic Mission is located in the village of Komatke, Arizona, on the Gila River Reservation south of Phoenix. Built in 1903, it survives today.) A fine impression on laid paper. In the American Print Collection of the Library of Congress where it is dated 1926 "copyright deposit."
