Comments:
Very good condition. Good margins. Printed on white laid paper. A very early example of abstract expressionism and serigraph combined. This image was included in the ‘Artist’s for Victory’ exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art during the winter of 1942 and 1943. The exhibition displayed 101 works of art by thirty-two artists besides Edward Landon artists such as Stuart Davis, Arthur Dove, Marsden Hartley, Yasuo Kuniyoshi, Jacob Lawrence, Georgia O'Keeffe, Abraham Rattner, Ben Shahn, Charles Sheeler, and Max Weber were involved.
