COMMENTS:
Very good condition. Good margins - as issued, appears to have never been either framed or matted. A rather pale print, signed, titled, and numbered by the artist, so as intended. The image depicts the entrance "gateway" to the Mabel Dodge Luhan house in Taos, New Mexico. According to Powers and Powers (2000:5) Lloyd Lhron Albright was a resident of Dalhart, Texas. He was basically "self-taught" but did spend time at the Chicago Academy of Arts in 1922, and with Taos artists William Herbert "Buck" Dunton (1930) and Emil Bisttram (1931). This image was most likely created during that time period.
